Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello announced they’re breaking up.
The pop superstars announced the sad news that they have broken up via social media on Wednesday, Nov. 17 after two years of dating, however, the couple assured fans that their “love for one another” is “stronger than ever” and they will remain “best friends.”
The announcement comes via Instagram stories, where Mendes and Cabello shared a joint statement that read, “We’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” the message read. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”

The couple share several duets together, including “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “Señorita” and “The Christmas Song.”
Mendes and Cabello began dating in July 2019, around the time of the release of their “Señorita” music video.
