Country music superstar, Shania Twain brought an iconic medley of her career’s many hit songs to the American Music Awards stage for the first time in 16 years, since her last AMAs performance in 2003.
Kelsea Ballerini introduced Twain saying “”Give it up for my Queen Shania Twain,” who began her performance sitting down in a stunning fuchsia pink, bedazzled dress, completing her look with a sparkling glittered guitar that perfectly matched her ensemble. Performing a medley of hit songs that included songs from Post Malone, Twenty One Pilots, Taylor Swift and Drake before fading into her massive hit “You’re Still The One.”
After her brief covers medley, Twain bursted into an energy-filled medley performance of her biggest hits that included “Any Man Of Mine,” a rockin’ rendition of “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and the explosive “Man! I Feel Like A Woman,” before being greeted with a hug from Taylor Swift at the end of her iconic performance.
Artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Taylor Swift and Post Malone were seen singing along throughout Twain’s iconic medley of hit songs.
Twain is a five-time American Music Awards winner and is one of the best-selling female country artists of all time. Shania Twain’s “Let’s Go!” Las Vegas Residency begins on December 6 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and will include 23 performances wrapping up in June 2020.
The 2019 American Music Awards also featured performances by former country hitmaker Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett and many more, also included appearances by Carrie Underwood, Kane Brown and Dan + Shay. The 2019 American Music Awards were broadcasted live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
