Twenty One Pilots kicked off their highly-anticipated ‘Bandito Tour’ tonight (October 16th) in Nashville, TN at the Bridgestone Arena and fans sold the show out in minutes from on-sale. Fans lined up hours in advance to gain first access to the sold out show tonight in Nashville in their custom Trench era clothing, Twenty One Pilots merch and personalized attire with yellow duct tape. This is the bands first tour during the Trench era, with the first Trench era shows being in London. The ‘Bandito Tour’ was supposed to wrap up on March 17th in Lisbon, Portugal, but the band added some new tour dates throughout 2019 making the tour now wrap up in their hometown of Columbus, OH on June 30th, 2019. The tour is in support of the bands latest record, Trench, which was released on October 5th via Fueled By Ramen/Roadrunner Records. Special guests supporting on this tour include Awolnation and Max Frost.
Twenty One Pilots never failed to bring some of the best tour production with them when touring the the globe in support of any of their records, but the Trench era brings some of their biggest and best production yet including lots of yellow themed attired, etc… There is bright lights, pyro, co2, a b-stage for a more intimate performance with the sold out arena crowds, burning car, and so much more. The band still keeps some traditions alive during their set like Tyler Joseph wearing a red beanie, Tyler jumping down into the crowd for some songs to sing with the crowd, Tyler’s skeleton hoodie, Josh’s signature piano flip, Josh Dunn playing the drums on top of the crowd, and bringing some new production to make this tour stand out including platforms bringing Josh & Tyler off the stage rising above the crowd, and yellow petal confetti fluttering onto the crowd.
