Sam Hunt returned to the stage for the first time since reports of an impending divorce from his pregnant wife over the weekend at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida.

On Sunday, March 13, the country superstar was welcomed back onto the stage by a sea of fans in Florida and in the midst of Hunt’s headlining performance, he surprised with a special appearance by former tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski (Gronk).

Gronkowski entered the stage during Hunt’s performance of his chart-topping hit, “Body Like A Back Road,” where the former Buccaneers’ football player sang and danced along to the fan-favorite tune.

The special appearance comes on the same day that Tom Brady revealed that he would be returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a quarterback this coming season, which comes as a shock to fans as he announced his retirement earlier this year.

Brady took to social media on Sunday, March 13, to reveal the news which sent Buccaneers’ fans into a frenzy.

“These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now,” Brady wrote on Instagram. “I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.”

While Brady was not at Strawberry Festival his former Buccaneers’ cohort, Gronkowski, was. When Hunt announced Gronk to the stage he talked about the “dynamic duo,” who is Brady and Gronkowski. And while Gronk hasn’t confirmed that he would be returning to the Tampa football team, it was seemingly teased during Hunt’s performance.

“We don’t know if Mr. Rob Gronkowski’s coming back or not, but he happens to be here tonight so I need y’all to let him know how much you want him to come back to Tampa to bring home one more Super Bowl,” Hunt said to the excited crowd.

Hunt is set to headline RODEOHOUSTON on Monday, March 14, marking his first performance at the Houston Rodeo since 2017.
