Alt-Pop band, Saint Slumber are thrilled to announce their new EP Youth//2, to be released on September 14th. To celebrate, Saint Slumber has unveiled the new single “Stay Away.” CLICK HERE to listen exclusively on Substream Magazine.
The band says, “We chose our newest single STAY AWAY as the first track of our upcoming record YOUTH//2, so I can confidently say this song is strong enough to open up an entire record. Inspired by the soundscapes of retro movie soundtracks, this song is a dark and lush introduction to Saint Slumber. It combines all of the elements that give us an identity as a band, and I’m super excited that this track is going to serve as people’s first impression of us.”
A few months back the band, released the first single from the EP “I Think I Like You” that has already garnered over 147,000 stream on Spotify.
Self-producing all of their own records and music videos, Youth//2 is the follow up from their debut EP that was entitled Youth//1. An expansive record for its breadth, Saint Slumberjuxtaposes the sounds of dreamy, electronic pop alongside alternative rock on their five song EP. In its first year, the band’s debut tracks accrued a million streams, garnering the band appearances on the legendary SoFar Sounds sessions and Balcony TV, finishing the year strong by playing Philadelphia Winter Jawn Festival with Dashboard Confessional and The Struts to a record-breaking crowd.
Now, 2018 brings Saint Slumber into a new chapter, and a new EP cycle. Starting the summer off strong, Saint Slumber was added to iHeart Radio 104.5’s Birthday Bash,playing with 30 Seconds to Mars, Portugal. the Man, and Walk the Moon on their Philadelphia stop of the Monolith Tour. Looking to build off of the success of their debut record, the band new EP, entitled “Youth//2,” will showcase an even more amazing side of the band.
