Fans know that Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and his collaborative partner Atticus Ross have been quite busy over the last few years creating numerous film and television scores, however, if the information revealed proves to be true then the pair will be focusing their attention on recording new music for Nine Inch Nails in 2020.
An eagle-eyed user on Reddit posted on the r/NIN subreddit that they had discovered pages from an upcoming interview with Trent Reznor that is scheduled to run in the January 2020 issue of “Revolver” magazine that mentions the possibility of an upcoming tour and new music from Nine Inch Nails in 2020.
The line in the interview that stands out is “The band recently released ‘the definitive edition’ of its 2005 album With Teeth, and in 2020, Reznor and Ross plan to take the group back out on tour, as well as record new NIN music.”
While that is about all the information that is available for now, fans will have to sit tight to wait for more information to be revealed in the coming year. A commenter on Reddit did not that Nine Inch Nails touring drummer Ilan Rubin is also a member of “Angels And Airwaves” who happen to be on tour throughout January 2020, so it looks like the Nine Inch Nails tour wouldn’t start until at least the summer or fall.
Reznor and Ross just recently released the three-volume soundtrack for HBO’s “The Watchmen” and Reznor also took home a CMA Award due to Lil Nas X sampling him on the smash-hit “Old Town Road”.
