ROCKET (Janelle Barreto, Eric Wibbelsmann, Steve Kilcullen, Jordan Lawson, and Paul DePatie) was formed in 2013, and since then, this 90’s pop-punk band from LA has been working extra hard when it comes to their live performances.

It paid off, because they ended up sharing the stage with bands like Bow Wow Wow, Alien Ant Farm, and Puddle of Mudd! Now for their official debut single in 2019, “GIANTS,” the band worked with Grammy Award Nominated Producer Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Pink, Neon Trees) and recording engineer Doug Grean (Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, Sheryl Crow.)

Go hard or go home right?

The band has been declared one of the “Best Bands to Catch” by CBS Los Angeles, and we aren’t surprised! Their high energy new single, “GIANTS” is sure to get you moving, hyped, and empowered.

“We all just clicked from the get-go, had similar influences and a singular mindset,” says Janelle, referring to their diplomatic approach to songwriting. “We are dedicated to being a voice for those who’ve been told they’re weird, strange or don’t fit in.”

And with “GIANTS,” they are that voice with lyrics like, “I’ll rule all the stars above us / I’ll rip on the wave / Outshine everyone who doubts us.”

The song is all about that feeling you get when you accomplish something as a team or with a community. Sometimes it can be more empowering to recognize that you’re even stronger in a group, rather than working by yourself.

You can find ROCKET playing at the Whisky a Go Go on November 16th, and their single “GIANTS” will have music video later this year!
