Friday night, Rezz took over The Met in Philadelphia with hypnotic music, engaging visuals, and a light show of the century.
Rezz is currently on her highly-anticipated Spiral tour across North America supporting her new album, Spiral, which debuted in November 2021. Now halfway through the Spiral tour, fans have been raving about the all new stage production Rezz and her team have worked on since the album’s conception. She is joined on the Spiral tour by artists: Eprom, Of The Trees, Wreckno, Kasablanca, Kill Script, A Hundred Drums, and Canabliss.
With an album heavily inspired visually by spirals and hypnosis, we expected some pretty unique visuals to take center stage. After the release of her album in November 2021, Rezz hyped her fans up on social media by posting teasers of some of the production to be featured on the Spiral tour. Hours before doors, fans could be seen lining up on Broad street in red and black Rezz merch, ready to dance the night away.
Before Rezz took the stage, the venue blacked out all of the lighting and the crowd could be heard cheering “Space Mom! Space Mom!” A moment later, Rezz could be seen on an elevated riser with a swirl of hypnotic lights, her iconic LED glasses shining bright through the darkened venue. Fans celebrated the return of their space mom with loud cheers inviting her to Philadelphia.
The alluring lights, thundering bass, and psychedelic visuals cast an immediate hypnosis over the audience as Rezz fell into a groove. Her set featured new tracks off Spiral, as well as some older fan favorites like “Edge” and “Orbit”. The entire experience was like being teleported to this enchantingly mysterious world that Rezz ruled over.
Rezz’s spiral tour continues through April, hitting some major cities and bringing the whole experience with her. Don’t miss it!
