Remember when A Day to Remember performed the 2001 Alkaline Trio hit “Private Eye” with Matt Skiba live in Chicago, Illinois on September 9, 2016.
The performance took place in the hometown of Skiba, in Chicago, IL which prompted the special performance of the song. The performance was uploaded on March 2, 2018, as Alkaline Trio wasn’t able to perform at A Day to Remember’s Self Help Festival due to Skiba recovering from his throat surgery.
In honor of the band not being able to perform, A Day To Remember uploaded the video to their YouTube channel.
“We’re bummed that we won’t get to watch Alkaline Trio tomorrow at Self Help Fest,” the band commented on the video. “So here’s a video of us covering their song Private Eye with Matt Skiba in Chicago two summers ago. Get well soon, Matt!
“Private Eye” comes from Alkaline Trio’s 2001 album, From Here To Infirmary.
