Reba McEntire and boyfriend Rex Linn had COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated and have fully recovered.
During a recent TikTok live, which you can watch a fan recorded version of below, the country icon gave fans a tour around her house, introduced them to her boyfriend and CSI: Miami actor Linn, as well as answered some fan questions and perform a few songs. However, the singer also revealed that she and Linn have gotten covid and “it’s not fun” she admitted.
“This has been a very hard year and it’s getting rougher again,” Reba said during the TikTok live. “You guys, please stay safe. Wear your masks. Do what you have to do. Stay home. Just stay safe. Stay healthy. It’s not fun to get this. I did get it. Rex [Linn] and I got it and it’s not fun. You don’t feel good.”
The “Fancy” singer went on to urge fans to stay home and protect themselves to the best they can.
“We were both vaccinated and we still got it, so stay safe, stay home, and be protected the best you can.”
McEntire and Linn are both fully vaccinated and while she didn’t elaborate on her sickness, including when she got the illness, her and her boyfriend both have fully recovered from the virus.

During the Q&A with fans on the livestream, one fan asked about plans for 2022. McEntire shared that she is not sure as of yet due to the ongoing pandemic and she’s unsure how the global health crisis will affect her planned Las Vegas residency with Brooks & Dunn at Caesar’s Palace.
“I have no idea what plans for next year are. You know, the COVID thing has really hit hard and spikes are going everywhere right now…and it’s all over the country…so we don’t have an idea. We have plans right now to go back on tour in January, February and March. We have plans with being with Brooks & Dunn at Caesars in December, the first two weeks, almost three weeks of December, but we don’t know if that’s going to go,” McEntire explained. “We’re just gonna move forward, keep prayin’ that everybody stays safe and healthy, and wear your mask and just be safe.”
In the TikTok live, the singer also performed “Fancy” and “I’m A Survivor.”
