Rascal Flatts were slated to perform their smash hit “Bless The Broken Road” on Wednesday (Nov. 11) night’s 54th Annual CMA Awards, live from Nashville’s Music City Center, however they were noticeably missing from the broadcast.
“Hey Y’all, we wanted to let you guys know that we have received a positive COVID test within the band,” the Vocal Group Of The Year nominees shared. “As much as we were looking forward to performing at the CMA Awards tonight, we will no longer be attending in the interest of everyone’s safety. We miss y’all and stay safe!”
Flatts’ isn’t the first artist that had to pull out of the show due to COVID-19. Jenee Fleenor, Lee Brice, Florida Georgia Line and Lady A were also forced to cancel their appearances due to either contacting the virus or coming in close contact with a confirmed case.
