Ptolemea (Priscila Da Costa, Martin Schommer, Yves oek, Christophe Reitz, and Remo Cavallini) is a female-fronted alternative/grunge rock band with a melancholic, dreamy twist. Influenced by both the heavy and emotive vocals of Layne Staley-era Alice in Chains and the blues/rock sound of Black Sabbath, Priscila has discovered the power of her voice.

Now the band will be releasing their EP, Maze, on March 13th! “The purpose of this EP is to musically describe the polarity we all have inside of us. Good vs. bad, angel vs. devil, ego vs. essence of the soul,” says Priscila. “The songs of the EP describe different moments of that inner confusion giving us sometimes that feeling that we are in a ‘maze,’ with no way out of our thoughts.”

With a powerful voice and an electrifying band to top it off, “Maze” is that bad*ss female fronted rock song that you needed in your life. With lyrics like, “I can’t hide from the demons,” and “Life is an illusion,” the song perfectly describes the feeling of having no escape from the voices in your head, mixed with the feeling of self-doubt that comes along with it.

After watching the music video for “Maze,” it seemed like Priscila was getting closer and closer to escaping her inner demons, but realized that there was a better way to fix what she felt.

It looked like she realized this at the last second, since she was very closely seeing a bunch of “evil” hands trying to pull her down with them. It was last second, but not too late to make a comeback.
