PHOTOS: 2018 Vans Warped Tour Mosh Pit Series by Christian Lawrence

The Mosh Pit Series was started four years ago by Christian Lawrence. With the goal of attempting something original and unique, the young photographer successfully captures the rock ‘n roll community from a distinct perspective. Photographing the dances, hugs, smiles and even crowd surfing, the pictures represent a strong sense of family and love for music.

The crowd completes the feel of any performance and that’s clearly demonstrated in The Mosh Pit Series. Majority of the time, photographers only focus on the artist on stage and fail to capture the essence of the crowd. Christian Lawrence extends that light to the fans and photographs the raw emotion and organic nature of the audience in his portraiture.

The photos portray a great amount of emotion, making viewers feel as if they are at the concert. The stress free and smiling faces of fans (of all ages) can be seen having the time of their lives at this year’s bittersweet final run of Vans warped tour. Everyone puts their differences aside and comes together in this community of music enthusiasts.
