By the age of ten, Paul Maged was writing music and lyrics after his father bought him a tiny Casio keyboard to practice his love for music with. Now this New York City-based alternative rock singer/songwriter has created a bold sound for himself, which resulted in his newest full-length album, Culture War.

With half of the album recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, Paul was forced out of his longtime studio, losing several songs that he recorded. That didn’t stop him though. He re-recorded, self-produced, AND completed Culture War all on his own! It was all worth it, because the album ended up being his most personal writing to date, politically and emotionally.

Culture War is the price we pay. Power trip between love and hate. I had a lot to get out on this record. It was a two-year therapy session,” says Paul. And although the album has plenty of protest songs on it, it also has a lot of non socially conscious themes that anyone can relate to.

Culture War will be released worldwide on Election Day, November 3rd 2020, and will include the title track as the first single, “Culture War.”

The single is accompanied by a 3D animated video produced by MY3D that Paul wrote the concept for, which can be seen below:
