McCollum serenaded Travis in his Tennessee home on Tuesday (July 27) and was joined by his fiancée Hallie Ray Light and Travis’ wife Mary as well as McCollum’s brother Tyler Steven and his girlfriend Emmalou. Not only did McCollum serenade the country legend, but he also joined him for dinner and some wine.

The Texas native performed the popular GRAMMY-nominated George Strait hit “Carrying Your Love with Me,” a track released in May 1997 as the second single and title track from Strait’s album of the same name. McCollum performed the hit song for Travis, while they shared a glass of McCollum’s signature ‘To Be Loved By You’ wine.

“Just sittin around playin country song with my new friend Mr. Randy Travis. A night I will remember for the rest of my life,” McCollum captioned the video clip on Instagram.

Travis shared some photos on his Instagram of the evening. The series of photos included a gift set of McCollum’s wine that the “Pretty Heart” singer gave Travis, an acoustic guitar signed by McCollum for Travis (which Travis now proudly hangs in his living room), and a group photo.

“Thank you so much to my new friend Parker McCollum and his family for coming over last night and sharing his amazing voice and dinner with my family and I,” Travis captioned an Instagram post. “We can’t wait to see you again. Glad to say I have a guitar signed by you and your brother hanging in my living room now!”

McCollum quickly commented on Travis’ Instagram post saying, “I have officially peaked! Thank you guys for having us! What a special evening that I will never forget!”

McCollum’s brother Tyler shared a group photo of the talent bunch and their significant others.

“Last night was the coolest night of my life, had the opportunity to meet Randy Travis and his family, play songs, hang out, just some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, cooler than I’ll ever be able to explain,” McCollum’s brother captioned a photo on Instagram.

Additionally, McCollum is set to hit the road with Dierks Bentley on his Beers On Me Tour, which kicks off early next month.

In addition to the upcoming trek, the Texas hitmaker is preparing to release his major-label, full-length debut on July 30 dubbed Gold Chain Cowboy.
