Olivia Rodrigo was awarded three iHeartRadio Music Awards during the coveted awards ceremony on Tuesday, March 22.
After being introduced by the pop-punk princess, Avril Lavigne, the 2022 iHeartRadio Best New Pop Artist and TikTok Bop of the Year recipient accepted her third award of the evening, Female Artist Of The Year.
“First of all, Thank you, Avril, I’m obsessed with you, you’re amazing, thank you for being here,” Rodrigo said, shouting out Lavigne, who she considers an inspiration. “Thank you to fans, who made this the most incredible year of her whole life.”
“I wake up every day and I truly can’t believe that I get to do this as my job, and it’s all because of you guys, so thank you guys so much,” Rodrigo continued. “Thank you so much to iHeart, and my label and my team. Thank you to all the other incredible women tonight, you’re so amazing and I’m in awe of your talent and it’s amazing to be here with you guys.”
