Morgan Wallen’s Sister Mikaela Speaks Out: “Our Parents Raised Us To Never Judge People By The Color Of Their Skin”

Morgan Wallen’s sister Mikaela has spoken out on the controversy surrounding her brother.

“I have remained fairly quiet as I don’t have a long eloquently written post as my sister did but I will say while I don’t condone the word used in any context, I am proud of you for always owning up to your wrongs and taking them and learning from them to be better as time goes on,” Mikaela began a statement she shared on February 11 via Instagram.

Throughout the statement, Wallen’s sister shared that her parents raised her and her siblings to respect people, no matter what color their skin is.

“Our parents raised us to never judge people by the color of their skin but by their character, to give respect where respect is earned, and especially forgiveness because Lord knows we all need forgiveness in our lives as no one is perfect.”

“I know your heart and the wonderful person you truly are through and through,” Mikaela continued. “You’ve loved me and supported me through all of my mistakes, and Lord knows I’ve made my fair share, you’ve been a shoulder I can always lean on especially that past few years as I’ve battled so badly with my mental health and my personal demons. Family is there for you no matter what so I’m here to love and support you through your mistakes and your wins. It’s only an uphill climb from here. I love you bub.”

“And remember y’all Don’t let those who run the country win because it’s “United We Stand or Divided We Fall” and they know this. ✊?✊?✊?✊?✊?,” She concluded her statement. “So if you come to comment and be nasty, save your time and just don’t it’s unnecessary. There is only room for Love for all here.”

Following Wallen’s use of a racial slurcountry artists spoke out, he was removed from most country radio stationsstreaming playlists, deemed ineligible and to have no involvement at the upcoming ACM Awards, dropped from all CMA and CMT platforms, removed from the roster of his booking agency and even “indefinitely” suspended from his recording contract at Big Loud.

Since the incident his sister Ashlyne and mom Lesli have spoken out and Wallen issues a video statement saying, “the man in that video is not the man i’m trying to be.”

The “More Than My Hometown” also went on to become the best selling artist of 2021 and his album, Dangerous: The Double Album, is sitting atop the charts for the seventh consecutive week.
