Morgan Wallen recently gave his first major performance on Friday (July 31) since the controversial video surfaced online earlier this year.
The country superstar and East Tennessee native surprised fans at the sold-out Luke Bryan concert in Nashville with a two-song performance that included “Whiskey Glasses” and “More Than My Hometown.” In addition to his two songs, he also joined Bryan, Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard to perform Aldean’s hit “She’s Country.”
Following the show, Wallen shared a thank you message to Bryan, Aldean, Hubbard and the sold-out arena crowd dubbing the evening one of those “moments I will never forget.”
“Thank you @lukebryan for having me out last night brother,” Wallen captioned a video clip of their performance on Instagram. “Sharing the stage with you, @jasonaldean and @tylerhubbard was one of those moments I will never forget. Thank you Nashville for welcoming me so warmly.”
After thanking his fellow country superstars (for having him) and fans (for welcoming him so warmly), he teased upcoming live shows or maybe even a tour as he promised, “And to the rest of my fans, we will recreate this soon.”
Wallen has popped up throughout Nashville with surprise a performance at Kid Rock’s Bar as well as appearances at several other places in Downtown Nashville. However, the country superstar has not toured or played a show since the controversial video surfaced earlier this year.
