Morgan Wallen Makes ACM Awards Performance Debut With ‘Whiskey Glasses’

Morgan Wallen made his ACM Awards performance debut with his 3x Platinum hit “Whiskey Glasses” live from the Grand Ole Opry House.

“It’s my first time really getting a full-song performance on an awards show. So that’s really special,” Wallen told ABC. “And I’m getting to use my own band.”

Wallen even got his fans involved with his major awards show debut, during the ‘line em up, knock ’em back, fill ’em up’ lyric of the track, videos of fans appeared singing the chart-topping hit single.

“Whiskey Glasses” is the third single from Wallen’s debut album, If I Know Me, and was written by Ben Burgess and Kevin Kadish. The song is Wallen’s biggest hit to date and a fan-favorite.

Wallen was also nominated for New Male Artist Of The Year.

The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards also featured performances from Jimmie Allen, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Riley Green, Mickey Guyton, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Thomas Rhett featuring Jon Pardi, Blake Shelton with Gwen Stefani, Taylor Swift, Tenille Townes, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban with P!nk and Trisha Yearwood.

The 2020 ACM Awards took place in Music City for the first time ever. The three-hour show took place at three iconic venues: Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe.
