Morgan Wallen announced a duet with ERNEST during his surprise appearance at Whiskey Jam.
On Monday (Aug. 9) evening, the country superstar shared the exciting news that he and his longtime friend, collaborator and labelmate ERNEST will be releasing a duet together called “Flower Shop.” Not only did the East Tennessee native announced the duet is coming but he also performed it for the first-time ever live during the Losers Bar Birthday celebration in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Y’all cool if I sing you a new song that I’m going to do with my buddy Ernest?” Wallen asked the beyond capacity crowd.
“Well, y’all kind of knew this already but I love singing sad songs,” he continued. “It don’t matter if I’m the happiest person in the world, I just love riding around listening to sad songs. That’s what I’m going to sing tonight. This is a new one, I don’t know if y’all heard this or not but me and Ernest are doing this together, it’s called ‘Flower Shop.’”
“Appreciate y’all letting me sing something new,” Wallen said as he concluded his performance.

Ahead of his surprise performance at Whiskey Jam, ERNEST shared a video clip on his Instagram of himself with Wallen singing the new track’s chorus in a dimly lit room.
“I’ll take all your roses / if you cut off the thorns / can’t take no more / how ’bout violets and daises to hide all the crazy / it’s going to take all you got / it’s a bad day for love / but a good day for flower shops,”

Ernest previously showcased his support for his label mate, Wallen, during a February 27 concert at Live Oak Music Row Nashville dubbed Raised Loudy: Rowdy On The Row, where he performed a song from Wallen’s latest album, Dangerous: The Double Album, called “Somebody’s Problem,” a track that Ernest co-penned with Wallen alongside Rodney Clawson and Jacob Durrett.
Additionally, Wallen recently shared a new song called “Drink U Back” which he co-wrote with ERNEST, who co-wrote 11 tracks, including “Wasted On You,” “More Than My Hometown,” and “Somebody’s Problem,” on his record-breaking sophomore project, Dangerous: The Double Album.
ERNEST and Wallen have been spending quite a bit of time together and are often seen on the golf course with one another or in the studio.
Wallen also performed his chart-climbing, fan-favorite hit “Sand In My Boots during his surprise appearance at Whiskey Jam’s Losers Birthday Bash on Monday (Aug. 9) in the Losers Bar parking lot.
Following his performance of “Sand In My Boots,” Wallen also sat down alongside Riley Green lending his vocals as they performed “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” together, similar to a performance the superstar pair shared earlier this month in Alabama during Green’s softball charity event benefitting St. Jude at JSU Jim Case Stadium.
