Miley Cyrus gave an emotion-filled performance of “The Climb” following a soothing cover of Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” during Verizon’s Big Concert on Sunday (Feb. 7).

Joined by a guitarist, Cyrus performed the hit song and cover live from Tampa, Florida, donning a black blazer and shorts.

“I know this has not been the easiest past year for anyone, especially for small businesses,” Cyrus said. “This song is about when things get hard and we have to prove our resilience, that we always come out stronger than we thought we ever could be. So never give up and if you know this song then I hope that you singing it at home.”
