Mickey Guyton’s Son Hospitalized In ICU: “The Doctors Don’t Know What’s Wrong. Please Please Pray”

Mickey Guyton’s 9-month-old son, Grayson, has been hospitalized.

The GRAMMY-nominated country singer shared the news on Thursday evening (Nov. 18) via Twitter, asking fans to send prayers for her son.

“I normally don’t do this, but my son is being sent to the ICU (intensive care unit),” Guyton wrote.

While Guyton didn’t go in depth and share what is wrong with her son, she shared, “the doctors don’t know what’s wrong. Please please pray.”

The singer shared an update Friday afternoon (Nov. 19), letting fans know that their prayers are appreciated, and that her son is getting better but not yet in the clear.

“He’s not in the clear, but he’s on the mend. Thank you for your prayers. I will update y’all as soon as I am able. Thank you thank you thank you for your love and support.”

Guyton and her husband Grant welcomed their first child, son Grayson, in February 2021. The superstar singer first revealed her pregnancy in late August 2020.

“The hardest and most beautiful thing I have ever done. Welcome to the world Grayson!,” the country singer previously shared on Instagram alongside an image of her new son.

Guyton also shared a biblical scripture from Psalm 30:5 that read “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

The couple wed on June 26, 2017, in Kauai, Hawaii.

This Sunday (Nov. 21), Guyton is set to perform “All American,” a song from her debut album, Remember Her Name, at the 2021 American Music Awards.

The country singer and Texas native is also slated to perform at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade later this month on Nov. 25.

Additionally, Guyton recently released her debut album, Remember Her Name. The 16-track project was released on Friday, September 24.

Remember Her Name is a culmination of the last ten years of my life in Nashville,” Guyton shared. “This album is the closing of a chapter. All those years ago, I set out to create music that would make people feel self-empowered, loved, and comfortable with being themselves and this album holds true to all of that. I hope everyone who listens finds something that connects and speaks to them.”
