Maren Morris guest hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday (Aug. 16) evening and she surely impressed viewers!
The country superstar made the trip from Nashville to Los Angeles to take on hosting duties for Kimmel on Monday (Aug. 16) evening and during the show she chatted with country legend Willie Nelson and even performed a song she wrote about weed for stoners.
During a discussion with Nelson, Morris asked the “On The Road Again” singer, “So I actually had a baby recently, or in the last year or so, and I know that you’ve brought your children out on the road for years as you’ve toured. Do you have any advice for bringing a baby on a tour bus and what that might look like?”
Nelson, who has 8 children, several who have gone on to become singers themselves, offered Morris some on the road parenting advice.
“Well, you know, all my career I’ve had kids on the bus,” Nelson told Morris. “They grew up to be pickers themselves and most of them have wound up out on the stage with me, singing with me every night. So, it’s just really been a big joy to have your kids with you, especially when you’re gone as much as I am gone.”
Morris replied complimenting Nelson’s parenting skills as well as bragged about how she loves that he includes them within his career.
“Right, no I love so much that you’ve incorporated and just collaborated with them over the years and Lucas has always been so lovely to me when we’re out on the same festivals together,” Morris gushed. “So, you’ve raised them right, so I’ll just take it from you, however you’ve brought those boys up.”

Additionally, during the popular late night talk show, Morris performed a stoner’s song that she wrote about marijuana. The song spoke on all the places that weed is legal and recreational as well as educated viewers on where they can and can’t smoke.
“When traveling across America/ Weed laws ain’t no joke/ So before you tour the country/ Know the states where you can toke,” the chart-topping country singer sang. “California’s down with doobies / From Oakland to Hollyweed / And in Washington and Oregon / It’s cool to spark that green / Nevada hits the jackpot / Colorado is a mile high / Michigan’s always holdin’ / And Montana’s lookin’ fried.”

“If you had to describe my personality through late night talk show guests, these would be it,” Morris captioned a series of photos from the show. “Thank you @jimmykimmellive for inviting me to guest host and cross a huge dream off my bucket list last night. 💕”
