The Iconic pop-star Madonna commanded the attention of the 2019 Billboard Music Award viewers with a collaborative performance with latin superstar Maluma of their new single “Medellín.”

This performance marked Madonna’s returned to the award show stage with new music for the first time in over four years, the four-time BBMA winner last performed on the Billboard Music Awards in 2016 with a highly talked about tribute to Prince. However, for Maluma it was his debut performance on the BBMAs.

Madonna’s performance tonight brought a massive production which is said to have costed her ‘5 million dollars’ that was finished with a never before seen hologram filled performance of her new single “Medellin” (featuring Maluma). It was unlike anything we have ever seen with several visions of her on-stage dancing with herself and the latin superstar Maluma. Finishing out her performance with the hologram Madonna’s dancing in sync with the real Madonna and Maluma on the Xfinity Stage in the back of the venue, in which Madonna received a massive standing ovation. Her performance was truly one-of-a-kind and one of most ambitious performances ever attempted on live tv.

“Medellín” is the first track released from Madonna’s highly anticipated 14th studio album Madame X which is set to be released on June 14th.
