Madonna kicked off her The Celebration World Tour in London over the weekend, playing the first two of six sold-out shows in London at The O2. The Celebration World Tour is a retrospective tour looking back at the Material Girl’s four decades in the music industry, celebrating Madonna’s every era and all the hits that came with them.

This is Madonna’s 13th tour overall and her eighth partnering with director Jamie King. It features 800 square feet of stage with a three-layered circular stage, 230 feet of combined length of catwalk and 80 tons of production equipment including 14 spotlights for Madonna.

The tour employs a traveling crew of over 200, including 25 in the costume department alone, with 24 on-stage performers running on 3,700 amps of show power.

Madonna’s Celebration Tour Set List

Madonna’s iconic four-decade career means an expansive set list, which included smash hits like “Into The Groove,” “Like A Prayer,” “Open Your Heart,” “Ray of Light” and many more.

Throughout the two-hour show, Madonna took fans on a journey from her beginnings as a struggling artist in New York City to her meteoric rise and massive success, through personal and professional lows and her spiritual awakening. The concert was sectioned into four acts, overall celebrating each and every one of Madonna’s eras.

Wardrobe

Unsurprisingly, Madonna pulled out all the stops with her wardrobe for the tour, with each section getting multiple custom looks. Much of the wardrobe was designed by tour costume and creative designers Eyob Yohannes and Rita Melssen, as well as designers including Jean Paul Gaultier, Off White, Versace and more.

Many of the outfits were inspired by some of Madonna’s iconic looks over the years, including her Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra and a blazer she once wore to perform in Japan in the ’80s.

There’s a boxing-inspired look, a catsuit made to look like broken glass and more, as well as a show-stopping moment towards the end of the concert when Madonna performs “Like a Virgin” and her dancers wear replicas of looks from her archive.

How Madonna’s Daughters Are Involved

Following in the tradition of celebrity kids doing cameos on their parents’ tours, five of Madonna’s six kids got involved in their mom’s show over the weekend including daughters Lourdes, Mercy, Stella and Estere and son David.

In a reference to Madonna’s music video for “Vogue,” the singer and 27-year-old Lourdes sat in chairs and acted as judges as 11-year-old Estere danced her way across the runway, earning 10s from her mom and sister. Estere’s twin, Stella, got on stage during “Don’t Tell Me,” 18-year-old David played guitar during “Let’s Go Crazy” and 17-year-old Mercy played piano as Madonna sang “Bad Girl.” Saturday was also Lourdes’ birthday, and Madonna celebrated the occasion by leading the audience in a singalong of “Little Star.”

Iconic, And as usual, many of us are proud, but others are comparing Stella and Ester with Blue Ivy, QueenB’s daughter, but they are girls, don’t do that, don’t compare them, and they say that Madonna copy Bey for including her children in the show. but as you see in the video madonna did it SINCE 2012 WITH ROCCO that’s why I included it so that things are clear, all her children are incredible, the queen mother is mothering#madonna #QUEENOFPOP #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #TikTokFashion #thecelebrationtour #thecelebrationtour #fypage #333 #madonnachildrens#london #fypage #fypシ #fyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy #fypシ゚v
