Machine Gun Kelly has revealed the last song that made him cry in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (September 2020).

The “Bloody Valentine” singer says that Tupac’s song “Pain” has made him cry his eyes out and it also gave him so much comfort when he used to run away from home and slept in train stations when he was young.. The song is a track from the Above The Rim movie soundtrack.

“When I used to run away from home I slept at a train station, and “Pain” by Tupac, this bonus track off the Above The Rim soundtrack, gave me so much comfort,” Machine Gun Kelly said. “I definitely cried my eyes out to it. It’s just a beautiful song, and the lyrics, they hit really hard.”

He also said that Neil Young’s “Old Man” is a song that makes him cry as it’s the last song that he and his father listened to before he passed away in early July.

“‘Old Man’ by Neil Young, because that’s the last song my dad and I listened to together before he passed,” said MGK.

According to the New York Times, MGK said that the rapper recently settled his differences with his father, who reportedly became hospitalized in Denver, CO with an illness that wasn’t related to the Novel coronavirus pandemic. He never did share his dad’s official cause of death or reason for hospitalization.
