Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Southern Rock Channel Returns to SiriusXM

SiriusXM announced today that “Free Bird,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Southern Rock Channel, featuring the legends who define southern rock, will return to SiriusXM today, April 24, and will run through Thursday, May 23, on channel 30.

“Free Bird,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Southern Rock Channel, will showcase music from Lynyrd Skynyrd’s extensive career, including the band’s hits and rarities. The channel will also include southern rock classics from an array of artists, including The Allman Brothers Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, ZZ Top and many more.

SiriusXM subscribers will be able to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s live performance from Stagecoach on Saturday, April 27 on “Free Bird,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Southern Rock Channel.  Additionally, listeners will hear encore broadcasts of Lynyrd Skynyrd intimate concert for SiriusXM subscribers from March 2018 at Buckhead Theater as well as Lynyrd Skynyrd’s last concert from their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida from TIAA Bank Field from September 2018.

The channel will also feature new exclusively hosted shows including:

  • Musician, singer-songwriter and longtime Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes Guest DJ Show

  • Rickey Medlocke’s Favorite Southern Rock Albums
  • 38 Special’s Don Barnes Guest DJ Show
The limited-run music channel which launched at 12:00 PM ET today will run through Thursday, May 23 on SiriusXM radios (channel 30) and on the SiriusXM app.
