Luke Bryan Shares The Story Behind The Title Track to New Album ‘Born Here, Live Here, Die Here’

Luke Bryan is gearing up to release his seventh studio album, Born Here, Live Here, Die Here, on Friday, August 7.

The title track to the much-anticipated new project tells the story of living a small town life and speaks directly to the person that is proud of that small town lifestyle. Bryan recently sat down to share the story behind the song with fans ahead of the release of the album.

“The song just paints such a beautiful picture of rural life and a rural mindset. Every line in that song just tells that small town life and it talks to that person that is proud of that small town life,” Bryan explained about the song in a new video. “They don’t need to go look for anywhere else, they’re happy, they’re content, they got everything they want right there and there’s something really really special about those types of people. The second I heard the song it just felt so real for me and it told a story, a big story in my life cause there was many many years I was that guy. It was gonna be Born There, Live There and never leaves. Somehow I left and become a country music singer and I still love to sing about those topics.”

“The second I heard ‘Born Here Live Here Die Here’ it related to me — how I grew up, how I have so many roots and so many ties to my hometown, and being tied to your hometown is very important in country music,” Bryan previously told PEOPLE of the track. “I fell in love with the song right away and now we have an album and tour derived from this song — it’s pretty amazing.”

“Born Here, Live Here, Die Here” was co-written by Jake Mitchell alongside Jameson Rodgers and Josh Thompson

Born Here, Live Here, Die Here includes the singles “Knockin’ Boots,” “What She Wants Tonight,” and his 25th No. 1 single “One Margarita”.

The country superstar recently was forced to postpone his Proud To Be Right Here Tour due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. He also nixed the idea of having his annual Farm Tour for the first time in 11-years.
