Louis Tomlinson Gives Update After Undergoing Surgery: “I’m On The Mend”

Louis Tomlinson gave an update on his condition after undergoing surgery on his broken arm earlier this week.

The One Direction member and “Bigger Than Me” singer took to social media to issue a statement with fans to let them know how his surgery went after he was forced to cancel several upcoming appearances due to a broken arm.

“Hope everyone is doing alright! Surgery went well so hopefully slowly but surely I’m on the mend,” Tomlinson wrote, assuring fans that he is doing well.

In the Tweet, Tomlinson also shared his excitement that his second studio album, Faith In The Future, debuted at No. 1 on the UK charts.

“I am absolutely mind blown we have a shot at number 1 in the UK. Thank you for everything! Let’s give this everything we’ve got!!”

“Don’t even know what to say. Just mind blown,” he added. “THANK YOU!”

He later wrote, “The support over this release week has been on a different level. Thank you so much to everyone involved!”

Last week, the 30-year-old singer revealed he broke his arm “pretty badly” after falling on his way home from a New York City concert.

On November 12, Louis Tomlinson shared a photo of an x-ray image that showed the broken bone in his right arm.

“Thank you to everyone that’s listened to the new album so far, it means the world to me,” Tomlinson shared. “The show last night in New York was incredible. Unfortunately, on the way back I’ve managed to fall and break my right arm pretty badly.”

As a result of the incident, Tomlinson was forced to postpone several in-store CD signings.

“So, I’m gutted to say I’ll have to reschedule the in-store signings next week. New dates will be announced very soon,” he added. “Thank you for all your support and sorry to anyone who was coming next week.”

Additionally, Tomlinson recently announced a massive 2023 UK and European 39-stop arena tour, aptly named after his latest project, Faith In The Future. The stint will kick off on August 29, 2023, in Hamburg, Germany at Barclays Arena and will wrap up on November 18 in Birmingham, UK at the Resorts World Arena, making a stop at London’s iconic O2 Arena.

The exclusive UK Tour Ticket Pre-sale is now live for fans who pre-order the upcoming album. General on sale begins Friday, October 21 at 9:00 AM BST. Pre-order Faith In The Future here
