Grammy®-nominated, multi-platinum selling artist Logic officially locks up his third #1 debut on the US albums chart as CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND, his brand new fifth studio album via Def Jam Recordings/Visionary Music Group (released May 10th) weighs in with first week sales of 80,000 album-equivalent units. CONFESSIONS contains the viral worldwide #1 streaming smash “Homicide” featuring Eminem, as well as guest appearance collaborations with G-Eazy, Gucci Mane, Wiz Khalifa, Will Smith, and others.
Tickets went up for sale last Friday for Logic’s Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind Tour, presented by Live Nation. The 26-city tour of the U.S. and Canada will open October 5th at Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver, and wrap up at the Alliant Energy Center Coliseum in Madison, WI on November 16th. Logic will be joined on most dates by special guests J.I.D. and CONFESSIONS collaborator YBN Cordae.
CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND follows up the March 26th release of SUPERMARKET, the dazzling debut novel by Bobby Hall (aka Logic), which entered the New York Times Paperback Fiction list at #1, making him the first-ever hip-hop MC to author a New York Times fiction bestseller. The same day marked the simultaneous release of Logic’s accompanying SUPERMARKET “soundtrack” album via Def Jam/Visionary. The album’s Top 10 debut on the Billboard Alternative Album chart was an ‘Alt’ chart first for Logic.
Prior to CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND and SUPERMARKET, the ever-prolific Logic released four Top 10 albums: YSIV in September 2018; Bobby Tarantino II in March 2018 (#1 debut); Everybody in May 2017 (#1 debut); and the Incredible True Story in November 2015.
