Trace Adkins’ new double album is star-studded and full of unexpected duets!
The Way I Wanna Go arrived on Friday (Aug. 27), Adkins’ 25-track double album comes in celebration of the 25th year anniversary of his debut album, Dreamin’ Out Loud. The album features all-star collaborations with Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Pitbull, Melissa Etheridge, Keb’ Mo’, Snoop Dogg, and Stevie Wonder on harmonica.
“This album is not only representative of 25 years since the release of my first album DREAMIN’ OUT LOUD, but also a creative high point for me,” Adkins said of the project. “The songs, the production, and the collaborations with iconic artists make this very special for me. I am humbled and grateful to my fans, for they have allowed me to stick around long enough to record this album.”
The Way I Wanna Go touches on all the aspects of Adkins’ storied career – from deeply profound ballads to clever-Country party anthems, all steeped in the diverse sound of his Louisiana upbringing. In addition, the Target exclusive version of the album includes two bonus tracks, “Maintenance Man” and “Home Is You.”
