Taylor Swift announced earlier today the name of her album and how many tracks will be appearing on it, but that is not all that she revealed today, she also announced that a new single would be coming at midnight (June 14th) and it has finally arrived! The new single is called “You Need To Calm Down,” and follows the debut single “Me! feat. Brendon Urie” from the forthcoming new album, Lover, releasing via Republic Records on August 23rd.

Swift told fans that the music video wasn’t coming with the new song however, as she wanted you to hear the song first, then see what the music video is, as she said there is a lot going on within the music video to see. The video will be unveiled on June 17th via Good Morning America and will simultaneously be released via her YouTube channel as well.

Swift showcasing her support for LGBTQ rights within the song saying, “‘Cause shade never made anybody less gay” in the lyrics.

The new album, Lover, will be released on August 23rd, 2019 via Republic Records and will consist of 18-tracks that includes the Brendon Urie “ME!” collaboration and “You Need To Calm Down” and will also include another collaboration with Stella McCartney. The new album has more tracks on it then any of Swift’s previous records and fans are ecstatic to hear them in August.
