Brantley Gilbert honored “folks we’ve lost, both overseas and in our own communities here at home” with an unreleased new song.
The country superstar paid tribute “13 brave American heroes [who] made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom this week” with his unreleased new song called “Gone But Not Forgotten,” a never-before-heard song that he previously wrote quite some time ago honoring those who lost their lives while fighting for our country.
The Georgia native and “The Worst Country Song Of All Time” singer shared the track on his social media platforms over the weekend on Sunday (Aug. 29).
“13 brave American heroes made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom this week,” Gilbert captioned the work tape of the heartfelt song. “In hard times like this, I always find myself turning to music. I wrote this song a while back as a tribute to all of the folks we’ve lost, both overseas and in our own communities here at home.”
Gilbert hoped the song would resonate with fans during these crazy difficult times we live in.
“Wanted to share it with y’all in hopes it might resonate with someone who needs to hear it right now,” Gilbert added.
