Linkin Park has won the award for Favorite Alternative Rock Artist on the American Music Awards tonight (Nov. 19th) in which it was very sad to see the band without their late frontman Chester Bennington, Accepting the award was Mike Shinoda with the entire band behind him. Shinoda began his acceptance speech saying, “Thank you guys so much, Thank you so much to the fans right here and around the world.” Continuing to show his appreciation to the fans who voted and remembering the late frontman Chester Bennington who died tragically earlier this year. Shinoda telling the crowd, “We want to dedicate this award to Chester, to his memory, to his talent, to his sense of humor, to his joy, and remember you guys, all of you tonight whether you’re a fan or an artist, I want you guys to take a moment to appreciate what you’ve got and make Chester proud. Thank you so much.”
