Lewis Capaldi’s debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent has now topped the UK official album chart for four consecutive weeks, making it the first debut album of 2019 to spend four weeks at #1 in the last five years and the fastest selling UK debut of 2019. The album has over one million global adjusted sales and amassed over 1.2 billion combined streams worldwide.

Capaldi will make his morning television debut on the “3rd Hour of TODAY” on July 3rd. Earlier this month, the 22-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter made his U.S. late night television debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” performing his breakout hit, Someone You Loved.” He also performed the song on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and in an unprecedented move, Corden invited Capaldi back to perform for a second night in a row– watch his performance of “Bruises” here.

“Someone You Loved,” shattered records throughout Europe and just ended a nearly unprecedented seven straight week run at #1 on the UK charts. Garnering massive support in the U.S from SiriusXM/Pandora the single reached #1 on their Top Spins chart. The song recently debuted on the US Top 40 Airplay chart and is climbing Billboard’s Hot 100. The track also hit #1 on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist.

Fresh off his sold out North American summer tour – which included shows at New York City’s Irving Plaza and the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles – Capaldi has added a series of fall 2019 headline dates which will kick off on September 17th with a trio of shows in Texas. The headline run will also include concerts at First Avenue in Minneapolis (October 3), Brooklyn Steel in New York (October 11) and the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC (October 12). Capaldi’s March 2020 tour of the UK and Ireland sold out in mere seconds, making him the first artist in history to sell out arenas prior to the release of a debut album. He will join both Ed Sheeran and The Killers on tour in the UK this summer. Full itinerary can be found here.

“Lewis Capaldi has a generation in the palm of his hand,” says The Line of Best Fit, praising the album as “compelling.”

Billboard declares, “Lewis Capaldi is an artist ‘You Should Know’. He has captivated listeners with his soulful voice…and has had a meteoric rise since his single “Bruises” went viral.” TIME notes, “Lewis Capaldi has the kind of deep, textured voice that you could listen to for hours. He finds expressive rough edges, then smooths them out into the sweetest of notes…Capaldi’s talent is tugging at heartstrings – or rather, pulling at them with all his vocal might.” Noisey gives the album an “A Minus” and says, “(Lewis Capaldi) deploys his big open white-soul voice with an originality so built in… (it’s) a feat of uncommon emotional intelligence.”

Capaldi was hailed as a 2018 Vevo DSCVR Artist To Watch and a 2019 Vevo LIFT Artist, longlisted for the BBC Sound Of 2018 Poll, and won Breakthrough Artist of the Year honors at the Scottish Music Awards. He was nominated for the BRIT Awards Critics’ Choice award and named an MTV UK PUSH Ones To Watch artist. Capaldi has toured with Rag’n’Bone Man, Niall Horan, and Sam Smith, and performed at such festivals as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Mountain Jam, Splendour in the Grass, Fuji, and Osheaga.
