“Before You Go” is a No. 1 single from his latest album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent. 

Capaldi is up for three nominations this year, including the high honor of New Artist of the Year.

The 2020 American Music Awards also featured performances from Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez, BTS, Dua Lipa, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, Shawn Mendes, Nelly, Bebe Rexha feat. Doja Cat, Bell Biv DeVoe, Jennifer Lopez with Maluma, The Weeknd, Kenny G, Machine Gun Kelly, Dan + Shay and Billie Eilish.

The awards was produced by dick clark productions. Amy Thurlow, Barry Adelman, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn are executive producers. Larry Klein is producer. The “2020 American Music Awards” is sponsored by Cheetos, T-Mobile and Xfinity.

Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, The AMAs aired on Wednesday, November 22 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET) on ABC.
