Capaldi took the radio by storm over the course of both 2019 and 2020 with his two hit singles.

“Someone You Loved” and “Before You Go” are both songs that appear on Capaldi’s latest album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.
The 49th annual New Year’s Rockin’ Eve also featured performances from Jennifer Lopez, Machine Gun Kelly, Billy Porter, Cyndi Lauper, Nelly, Miley Cyrus, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Saweetie, 24KGoldn feat. Co-hosted by Ryan Seacrest alongside Lucy Hale, Ciara and Billy Porter, The live New Year’s Eve special aired live from New York City and Los Angeles on Thursday, December 31 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET) on ABC. Following a break for the local news broadcast, the special returned from 11:30 p.m.-2:00 a.m. EST for the iconic ball drop.
