Laine Hardy surprised fans with an early Christmas gift, a Christmas song “Please Come Home For Christmas” on Friday (Sept. 18).
The song comes as a surprise, as Hardy didn’t announced the forthcoming Christmas song in advance but fans are thrilled.
“I’ve always had the Eagles version of this song on my playlists during the holidays,” Hardy said. “Especially with everything going on right now, there are going to be a lot of people missing family and loved ones this Christmas. So I wanted to make my own version of the song, and hope it lifts people up this year.”
“Please Come Home For Christmas” is a classic Christmas song, written in 1960 and released the same year by American blues singer and pianist Charles Brown, made famous by The Eagles recorded version in 1978. The song has been covered by many artists throughout the years.
The country singer previously released a Christmas song entitled “Blue Christmas” in 2018.
