Lady Gaga’s two dogs, Koji and Gustav, were safely returned on Friday (Feb. 26) evening, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to the LAPD Captain Jonathan Tippett, a women brought the two French Bulldogs to the Olympic Community Station Police Department in Koreatown at 6 p.m. PST on Friday evening. Gaga’s representative and detectives confirmed that the dogs surrendered to the LAPD are in fact Gaga’s.
Tippet shared that the woman who dropped the dogs off to the station is “uninvolved and unassociated” with the attackers.
The two dogs were stolen by two armed thieves in Hollywood on Wednesday (Feb. 24) night, in which the singer’s dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot several times. According to TMZ, the singer’s dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was walking her dogs in Hollywood, California just before 10 p.m. PST when the armed thieves approached and shot Fischer multiple times outside of his home on Sierra Bonita, before getting away with her two dogs, Koji and Gustav. He was also walking a third dog named Asia, who was able to get away and has since been found by one of Gaga’s bodyguards.
Fischer’s family said he “was the victim of a horrible, violent crime on Wednesday evening in Los Angeles.”
“Thankfully, Ryan is receiving extraordinary care in the hospital right now and his doctors expect him to make a full recovery,” the family added. “We cannot possibly say enough to thank all of the first responders, nurses and doctors who have worked so tirelessly to care for Ryan. Of course, we also want to thank Lady Gaga who has shown nothing but non-stop love and concern for Ryan.”
Fischer sustained four gunshot wounds to the chest and was in “grave” condition when he was transported to the hospital, according to Metro, however, TMZ reported that he is now expected to make a full recovery. Additionally, the gunmen remain at large.
“My heart is sick and I am praying my family will be whole again with an act of kindness,” Gaga said on Instagram, after offering a $500,000 reward.
Gaga is currently in Rome filming a new movie and her dog walker is dog sitting for her.
