Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande brought the live debut of their collaborative single “Rain On Me” along with other performances on Sunday (Aug. 30) from the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) stage.

This performance marked Gaga’s first appearance on the Video Music Awards in 7 years (since 2013). Gaga is best known for her exceptional live shows and this performance was no different, as she brought the energy and impeccable costumes and choreography.

Beginning in her bedroom covered with posters to her song “911,” the pop star slid down a pole to complete the song then after a quick change, Gaga launched right into “Rain On Me” with fellow star Ariana Grande. Taking fans inside of the world of Chromatica, the two stars made for an amazing performance. Gaga then sitting at a piano for “Stupid Love” before kicking things into full gear dancing to the track.

The “911,” “Rain On Me” and “Stupid Love” tracks appears on Gaga’s sixth studio album, Chromatica.

Grande and Gaga were among the many incredible performances including Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, BTS, CNCO, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Maluma, The Weeknd and others.

Hosted by Keke Palmer, The 2020 MTV VMAs aired on Sunday, August 30th at 8PM ET/PT broadcasted across 11 ViacomCBS brands including BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nick at Nite, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land and VH1, as well as The CW, making it available to an expanded broadcast audience for the first time.
