Keith Urban took to the 2019 CMA Music Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 13) to perform his currently single “We Were” live from Nashville, TN at Bridgestone Arena.

He noted that the performance was going to be a very stripped down acoustic performance and he wasn’t kidding as he gave a spoken introduction whilst playing guitar saying, “This song is about a first love, fake IDs, leather jackets on the back of a Harley, Sneaking into a club to hear a band play a little ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me,’ thinking it would always last, and not thinking it would ever fade like the stamp on the back of your hand.”
