Josh Groban gave a beautiful performance of “Angels” during the CBS A Home For The Holidays special.
“And through it all she offers me protection / A lot of love and affection, whether I’m right or wrong / And down the waterfall, wherever it may take me / I know that life won’t break me / When I come to call, she won’t forsake me / I’m loving angels instead,” Groban sings.
“Angels” is a track first made popular by Robbie Williams and was first released on Williams’s 1997 debut solo album, Life thru a Lens. Groban released his rendition of the hit song on his 2020 album, Harmony.
The 1-hour award-winning special shines a light on the thousands of American children in foster care and continues to inspire tens of thousands of adoptions, moving these children into loving “forever” homes. During the broadcast, viewers also got to witness three virtual adoptions that took place on air.
A Home For The Holidays also featured performances by Meghan Trainor, Josh Groban, Miranda Lambert, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Andrea Bocelli.
Hosted by Gayle King, the 22nd annual A Home For The Holidays aired on Sunday (Dec. 20) at 9:30-10:30 PM EST on CBS as well as streamed live and on-demand on CBS All Access.
