ACM/CMA award-winning artist Jon Pardi is releasing his rousing, high-energy track “Me and Jack” today (7/19). The infectious “Me and Jack” kicks off with a thumping, honky-tonk beat and quickly puts it into overdrive by the time Pardi hits the up-tempo, driving chorus. Written by Pardi, Rhett Atkins, Bart Butler and Luke Laird, the song has Pardi wailing about the unfortunate consequences from a “…fun-while-it-lasted friendship with the famous Tennessee whiskey… (Sounds Like Nashville).” The outro levels up and rips off into an electrifying fiddle roar, allowing the melodic and heart-pumping thrill to let loose all the way to the end. “Me And Jack” is off Pardi’s highly-anticipated album Heartache Medication, due out on September 27th.
Heartache Medication includes the already released title track “Heartache Medication” and the riding-off-into-the sunset country ballad “Ain’t Always The Cowboy.” Providing listeners with a traditional set of songs that punch the radio dial with an album that is even a stronger dose of twang than its predecessors, Pardi has set the record as “…a beacon lighting up the darkness to lead us back to true country music (Music Row).” Pardi is featured as a co-writer on several of the songs off his forthcoming album Heartache Medication, and returns as a producer for the third time (California Sunrise, Write You A Song). Heartache Medication pairs him again with California Sunrise co-producer Bart Butler, and with Ryan Gore joining as first-time co-producer.
Pardi will kick off his Heartache Medication Tour with his first-ever, two back-to-back, sold out headlining shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Oct. 1st and Oct. 2nd.
