TMZ.com has reported that Joe Jackson, the Father of the Jackson family has died at age 89. Family sources told TMZ in a statement that Joe Jackson has passed away at 3:30AM on Wednesday (June 27th) in Los Angeles, CA.
TMZ earlier reported that, Joe was hospitalized in June with terminal cancer, and his family had been flocking to his bedside ever since. His wife, Katherine Jackson, had been at his bedside along with some of Joe’s children and grandchildren. Joe had been battling health problem for quite a bit now, he was hospitalized back in 2016 after a high fever, and his health was very fragile after a stroke and 3 heart attacks back in 2015, when Doctor implanted a pacemaker.
Joe was very successful as a parent in managing his children’s careers, probably one of the MOST successful parent to exist in the history of music. Between managing The Jackson 5, and the late Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson as solo artists with some help from Diana Ross. Joe had 10 kids with Katherine, his wife of more than 60 years. The 2 did not live together and had a strained relationship for the last years of his life, but they frequently interacted.
