Platinum-selling singer-songwriter and actor Jesse McCartney has returned with the release of his brand new single “Yours” – listen here. The track features his instantly recognizable vocals and candid lyrics which set the stage for the accompanying music video. The video, directed by Nick Peterson, exclusively premiered on Billboard.com this morning – watch below. The visual playfully showcases McCartney reminiscing on his expansive career, nodding to his past personas and ultimately discovering the favorite version of himself. Billboard praised the track, “an introspective pop tune with verses that address several stages of McCartney’s life.”
“I’m really proud of ‘Yours’ and excited for all my fans to hear it, it’s sort of my life in a pop song,” McCartney states. “It’s romantic but also introspective of my life and all these different roles I’ve played throughout – ultimately coming to the conclusion that my favorite role is where I am now and being Katie’s partner.”
