Jelly Roll revealed he is a big fan of Alexandra Kay.

The “Son Of A Sinner” singer recently praised Kay on the first episode (Sept. 28) of fellow country artist Tracy Lawrence’s TL’s Road House podcast.

“I’m a huge Alexandra Kay fan, I just think she is the salt of the earth, incredible singer, great soul, great human, good songs, and checks every f–king box in the music industry. It’s going to work for her in a real way,” Jelly Roll told Lawrence, who agreed saying, “absolutely.”

“Love her! She’s a sweet, sweet girl,” Lawrence added.

Following the interview, Kay posted a clip of herself reacting to Jelly Roll’s comments on Instagram, writing, “@jellyroll615 @therealtracylawrence thank you so much friends for always showing me so much love and support! Y’all check out the full episode of TL’s Road House on Spotify!,” concluding the caption with a 💗 emoji.

Jelly Roll and Lawrence’s comments about Kay are timely, as Lawrence announced on Sept. 9 that Kay would be joining him and Clay Walker on his upcoming fall tour.

“I am so thrilled to share that our talented friend, @_alexandrakay will be joining @ClayWalker and I on our upcoming tour! Tickets are on-sale now,” Lawrence shared on Twitter.

Kay previously performed on Tim McGraw’s 2022 Tour alongside Brandon Davis and Russell Dickerson. McGraw also praised Kay’s talent, saying her voice was reminiscent of Dolly Parton after hearing Kay sing a cover of “Jolene” on Facebook in 2016.

Kay has also gained notoriety on TikTok with her “Coffee Covers” series which finds her singing while making her morning coffee. Kay has covered a variety of songs for the series, including Miranda Lambert’s “The House That Built Me,” Deana Carter’s “Strawberry Wine,” McGraw’s “Don’t Take The Girl,” and more.

Most recently, Kay released her latest song, “Skip This Part” and its accompanying music video, which you can watch above.

She shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos of the shoot on social media, saying that the experience was “a dream come true.”

“My favorite kind of creating is the kind that involves the people that mean the absolute most to me… Getting to include ALMOST (minus a few) my entire team and my husband in the music video for Skip This Part was a dream come true. It takes a village and these humans are such a huge part of my journey,” Kay wrote in part.

Fans can purchase tickets to see Kay on tour with Lawrence and Walker this fall here.
