Jason Aldean Named ‘Artist Of The Decade’ at 2019 ACM Awards, Perform Medley of Hits

Jason Aldean accepted the ACM Award for ‘Dick Clark Artist Of The Decade,’ at the 54th annual Academy Of Country Music Awards tonight. George Strait announced Aldean to the stage saying “Aldean’s ability to connect with fans and light a fire with his music,” after a video montage of Aldean’s successes showcased across the screens. Strait announcing Aldean out for a performance medley of his hit songs throughout the longevity of his career, including songs like “Lights Come On,” “Dirt Road Anthem,” and the Kelly Clarkson collab effort “Don’t You Wanna Stay.”

After Aldean’s performance Strait returned to the ACM Award stage to present Aldean with the ACM Award, he handed off the award to Aldean and he was beyond honored saying “That’s the reason I wear the cowboy hat,” motioning towards the legendary, Strait.

Aldean went on to mention some artists he noticed in the crowd who he said also had a “hell of a decade” including the likes of Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban. Continuing to then thank his team and family for all of his amazing success thus far and thanks country radio before thanking his fans for an emotional moment which you could clearly see Aldean was getting teary eyed and choked up during saying, “Thank you to country fans and country radio, You have changed my life forever…. forever. This is one of the proudest nights of my entire life, I appreciate it!”

Congratulations Jason Aldean, You deserve it!
