After crossing 21 million cumulative streams in just a few weeks’ time and vaulting on to multiple charts, ILLENIUM shares the epic official music video for his new single “Good Things Fall Apart” with Jon Bellion today.“Good Things Fall Apart” is available for streaming and purchase HERE via Astralwerks.
The clip places the two artists on a galactic voyage beyond the outskirts of an imperiled planet. Donning regal navy blues and backed by a full band, they perform the song mid-flight in between action-packed vignettes of the ship’s crew attempting to regain order in the cockpit. Flashes of bright light match the peaks of Bellion’s stunning delivery as ILLENIUM’s rich production reverberates. Everything culminates in an entrancing blast as a fiery phoenix fittingly rises into the fore during the final shot. Strikingly, this science fiction mini-epic also hints at more to come…
“Good Things Fall Apart” blasted off with stratospheric success upon arrival. During its first week at radio, it became “#1 Most Added at Alternative.” Additionally, it debuted at #13 on the Billboard Dance chart. To date, total streams have surpassed 21 million and counting.
“Good Things Fall Apart” also paves the way for more new music very soon. Now, it’s on the fast track to becoming the crossover smash of the summer!
The song comes hot on the heels of two explosive anthems from ILLENIUM. To date, his single “Crashing” featuring Bahari has amassed nearly 40 million total streams. Meanwhile, the follow-up “Pray” featuring Kameron Alexander soundtracked a new HBO documentary.
Also, be sure to catch ILLENIUM on tour. He recently performed a DJ set at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.. Next up, he’s set to touch down Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, continue his Las Vegas residency at Hakkasan, and headline both Madison Square Garden (September 21) and Red Rocks Amphitheater (October 10, 11, 12) in the fall. ILLENIUM creates immersive emotional experiences, displaying an adeptness for crafting aural arrangements that vary in style, beauty, complexity and depth. With two full-length albums to his credit and sundry singles and remixes, he has surpassed the one billion stream mark across his discography.
His debut album, Ashes, was released to critical acclaim in early 2016. Awake followed in 2017 and hit #1 on in the iTunes Electronic Dance Charts in 12 countries. Named one of the “10 Best Dance/Electronic Albums of 2017” by Billboard, it included such singles as “Feel Good” (with Gryffin featuring Daya) and “Crawl Outta Love.” Praising the album as “a gorgeous collection of future bass, piercing vocals, and barefaced lyrics,” Dancing Astronaut said, “While it might seem premature to call an album a ‘masterpiece,’ no other title would fit Awake so well.” Billboard observed, “The phoenix is ILLENIUM ‘s mascot, and Awake is the emergent moment of that story.”
ILLENIUM’s Awake Live headline tour captivated audiences across the country and sold out such renowned venues as The Shrine, Terminal 5, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Aragon Ballroom and Red Rocks. His remix of Flume’s “Say It” earned him an Electronic Music Award for “Best Remix” in 2017. ILLENIUM’s recent collaborations include “Don’t Give Up On Me” with Kill The Noise ft. Mako and “Gold (Stupid Love)” with Excision ft. Shallows.
Bellion got his start with a series of mixtapes featuring his original songs – all recorded in his parents’ basement. He built a remarkable following by sharing his music directly with listeners, giving away more than 200,000 free downloads of 2014’s The Definition and playing live for fans on two sold-out national tours. Also a sought-after collaborator, Bellion co-wrote and produced “Trumpets” for Jason Derulo and co-wrote the GRAMMY Award-winning, 10x-Platinum hit “The Monster” for Eminem and Rihanna. He co-wrote and co-produced Christina Aguilera’s recent single, “Fall in Line” featuring Demi Lovato. Bellion begins his North American tour this June, tickets available HERE.
