Chris Lane and his beautiful wife, former Bachelor contestant Lauren Lane (formerly Lauren Bushnell) are the proud parents of two wonderful children. Their second child, a son named Baker Weston Lane, was welcomed into the world on Sunday (Oct. 16), rounding out the family of four.

Since the couple’s new bundle of joy has only been around for a little over a week, Lauren has found herself reflecting on the birth of her youngest boy, who arrived nine days before his expected due date.

In a brand-new Instagram post, she told her 1.5 million followers that she struggled with her newborn son’s birth, calling the experience “very chaotic.”

“🤍 Baker Weston Lane 🤍. Our little man surprised us 9 days early, late Sunday night,” Lauren captioned the post on Friday (Oct. 21). “Still laughing thinking about my water breaking (very aggressive, movie like situation), driving myself to the hospital in Chris’ truck (pantsless btw) because my car was out of gas and Dutton was sleeping 😵‍💫. Very chaotic, unplanned and panicked, but the minute he came into this world, he’s been nothing but peaceful and perfect. We love you Baker, welcome to the 🌍!”

In her post, the mother-of-two included a carousel of images. The first snapshot features a sleeping Baker swaddled in a blanket with a beanie atop his head, while the second find’s his sibling, 1-year-old Dutton Walker Lane, holding his new baby brother in his arms. Another photo shows Lane carrying his precious baby boy while lovingly gazing down at him. Lastly, a photo depicts Lane and Lauren in the delivery room, spending time with their new infant son.

The Lanes, who wed in a private ceremony in 2019 after a four-month engagement, revealed the news that they were expecting their second child in June of 2022 in an exclusive interview with People.

“To be quite honest, I’ve never been more shocked in my entire life, because this was very much an unexpected surprise,” Lauren said at the time, telling the outlet that her second pregnancy caught the couple off-guard. “We had planned on having at least two kids, so we’re very thankful that it was able to happen for us, even if it wasn’t necessarily on our exact timing. We’re both just incredibly excited.”

On Tuesday (Oct. 18), the celebrity parents announced Baker’s arrival on social media, uploading similar posts on their respective Instagram pages.

“Life just got 8 Pounds Sweeter! Family of 4 Now!!” The “Big, Big Plans” singer wrote alongside an image of the family of four altogether in a delivery room in Nashville, Tenn.

Lauren, meanwhile, shared a video of her toddler Dutton meeting his little brother for the very first time.

“Look at mama. She’s got your brother,” Lane tells an eager Dutton, who is wearing a ‘Big Bro’ T-shirt. Lane then brings the child to his sibling, and Dutton breaks into a sweet giggle.

“Bigggg bro loves his Lil bro!” Lane wrote in the comments section of the post. “Love our family and proud of you sweetheart!”

Lane captioned a post days later, alongside a slide of photos that show little Baker wrapped up in a bird blanket.

“Glad to be home and resting up. Thanks for all the prayers and love for our fam! 🙏🏻,” he wrote.

Lane will only get to rest for a short time, however. On Dec. 1, he will take the road as a supporting act for the Canadian leg of Kane Brown’s Drunk Or Dreaming Tour.
