Heartracer Release Music Video for “Darling”

Heartracer is a band that oozes synth-pop nostalgia. With timeless hooks and orotund lyrics, the band reminds us a bit of the band I Dont Know How But They Found Me, aka iDKHOW! As a fan of that band, it was so cool to hear another band with a similar type of sound.  This type of music is something you don’t hear much of on the radio nowadays, so it’s refreshing to listen to.

Brothers Chris Cosby ( lead vocals, keyboards) and Chip (guitar, vocals) formed Heartracer in Richmond, Virginia a few years ago, and now features members Wes Tatum (bass, keyboards, backup vocals) and Bryan Reyes (drums, percussion.) Now you may be wondering, why is the band called Heartracer?

The name is actually named after Chris’ Tachycardia diagnosis, which is a lifelong condition that causes the heart to speed up and slow down at random. Making their fans aware of this is great because it shows them that despite his condition, you can still follow and live your dreams.

Their new single “Darling” mimics the emotional ups and downs of navigating love with lyrics like, “Darling don’t you leave me,” and “Cause’ we’re gonna run this town.” With years of hard work, the band has shared the stage with artists like Walk The Moon, Third Eye Blind, Banks, and PVRIS!

About Melanie Gomez

My name is Melanie Gomez and I graduated with a BA in print journalism with music management as my minor. I loved music since I was a kid because it was always a way my family and I bonded, as well as a way to express myself on my own time as I got older. I’m not a singer and I don’t play an instrument, so my way of being part of the music industry is by getting to write about the music I love in various reviews and through my concert photography. Another goal? To make people smile. You can find me on Instagram @MelanieGomezPhotography. For professional inquires only, please email: MelanieGomez_@hotmail.com
